Your problem may be in your marriage, your family, or some personal "impossible" challenge that you face alone. There is help and hope.
I work with couples and marriages using methods from The Gottman Institute, the premier marriage and couples research and clinical skills institute nationally and globally. This allows me to take your marriage counseling experience to a richer and deeper level, teaching you skills to enhance your communication and your love. You will learn and experience in counseling sessions, a number of conflict management tools. As you apply them, they increase your ability to manage difficult times of emotional disruption in your relationship. Together, you will find better ways to enhance your friendship, fun, and communication. If talking, listening, and understanding your partner seems difficult these days, let me help you find your way to a closeness that leads you the joy of being a lasting couple.
The Gottman Method of Couples Counseling rests on 40 years of research from the work of John Gottman, PhD, who with his wife founded The Gottman Institute. The 7 Principles of Making a Marriage Work has been a best-selling book for two decades.
Deborah Rees specializes in counseling marriages and couples, couple's conflict problems, infidelity, depression, and anxiety She has practiced in Cornelius, NC for 17 years with 30 years experience counseling couples.
